There is an awful lot happening in this book.
First a man starts shooting on a packed San Francisco ferry killing several people and wounding Claire Washburn, one of the members of the Murder Club.
When Lindsay starts the investigation she doesn't know whether or not Cindy will survive. Soon though, the case changes from a manhunt into a fight to get him convicted.
Then a young girl is kidnapped with her nanny. The latter is soon found, killed, but there's no sign of the girl and no word from the kidnappers.
There is also someone on a murderous spree in Cindy's, another member of the club, building. And all the while, Lindsay's private life is in turmoil.
As usual a roller coaster of a story, fun to read and fast.
