it is 1837 and Princess Victoria is about to become queen.
For Liberty Lane times are about to get very hard.
Expecting to meet her father, who has been travelling on the continent, Liberty travels to Dover, only to be notified that her father died in Calais, during a duel.
Alone she travels to Calais to bury her father and to find out what really happened, because Liberty is sure of one thing; her father would never participate in a duel.
What follows is a series of adventures, starting with an attempted abduction and leading to more murder and attempted treason.
Interesting read. Not a great story, but intriguing enough to keep me turning the pages.
