APPOINTMENT WITH DEATH

TITLE: APPOINTMENT WITH DEATH
AUTHOR: AGATHA CHRISTIE
CD's: 2
Date: 06/03/2008
Grade: 4.5
Details: BBC Radio Play
Library

This was fun. It was not the story, as written by Christie, read out by one narrator, but rather the story presented as a play, with various actors speaking the parts. This means that the recording is shorter then a narration of the novel would be, but I think it's more interesting to listen to this way. I will definitely be getting other radio plays out of the library.
The story:
Hercule Poirot is in a hotel in Jerusalem when he overhears a male voice saying: "You do see, don't you, that she's got to be killed? It's the only solution."
When shortly afterwards a rather nasty American woman dies, and it turns out she has been murdered, Poirot is of course asked to investigate.
And although there's no shortage of suspects, the little grey cells once again don't let him down.
