Carole Seddon's son Stephen will be marrying his Gaby in a few months time and Carole is about to meet the bride's parents. Marie and Harold turn out to be very quiet and shy people who appear to be determined to keep the wedding as low key as possible. But then Harold is murdered ad the wedding plans have to take a back seat to another investigation for Carole and her neighbour, Jude.
It soon appears Gaby's family has some secrets it's trying very hard to keep hidden. But the 30 year old secret will have to be examined if Harold's murder is to be solved, Gaby is to be kept safe and the wedding is to proceed.
I had the mystery solved fairly early on in the story, but that didn't diminish my reading pleasure at all.
