It all starts very innocently when he makes two teenage girls promise to call him if they ever need help. But then Aimee Briel does call him in the middle of the night. He picks her up from a street corner and drops her at what she says is the house of a friend. He watches her disappear around the corner of a house, and that's the last anyone sees of her.
Because Aimee is 18 the police won't investigate. But driven by guilt, the desperation of Aimee's family and the feeling that something isn't right, Myron breaks his rule of six years and starts an investigation.
After a somewhat slow start, this was a thrilling book with many twists.
