Life in Big Stone Gap is changing as well, with people facing challenges, moving away and dying.
And, when Ella moves out aged 18 it is an event that was expected although the circumstances take her parents by surprise. Ave and Jack find that they now have to re-dream their lives, just as the fortune teller told Ave.
Good story and very well told. The only minor down point being that Ave's emotions and reactions are so very far removed from mine.
